Detox hydrogen effect
APPLICATIONS
One of the most important and common theory to explain the aging process is the “free radical theory“, initially proposed by Harman in 1950. This theory supposes that age-related loss of cellular function results from the accumulation of ROS (Reactive Oxygen Species) at the level of several molecules, which is associated with lipid oxidation, protein oxidation, and oxidative modifications at the nuclear and DNA-mitochondrial levels.
Consequently comes the impairment of multiple metabolic pathways and the most diverse organs and systems.
The vast field of chronic-degenerative pathology, from atherosclerosis to diabetes, from Parkinson’s to Alzheimer’s to cancers, is the terrain in which the “free radical theory” finds its ideal place. In this context, Oxidative Stress is certainly a crucial cofactor and simultaneously a rational explanation of the mechanisms of aging.
Thus detoxifying, or rather, reducing harmful free radicals is a fundamental process for longevity.
Hydrogen has Potent and Selective activity toward those radicals for which there is no endogenous response (hydroxyl radical and peroxynitrite radical) and which are particularly harmful to human health.
In an Observational Study conducted by Blue Hydrogen Science on people subjected to continuous exertion (Athletes and former athletes still in activity) whose oxidative stress parameters were shown to be elevated, independent of lifestyle, DETOX Treatment with Percutaneous Hydrogen (one session per day for 1 to 2 weeks) demonstrated a statistically significant reduction in damaging radicals, and a concomitant elevation of Innate Anti-Oxidant Defense immediately after max exertion (T0 resting data before study; T1 data after max exertion).

The data show that BAP (Anti-Oxidant Defense) values even under worst measurement conditions (at the athlete’s max exertion) were improved by Percutaneous Hydrogen treatment.
In addition, preliminary data from the ongoing Clinical Oncology Study in Bologna showed a similar trend in ordinary people. Percutaneous Hydrogen administration reduces Oxidative Stress (dROMs) by improving Antioxidant Defense only after 5 days of treatment.
